gynecomastia or chest contouring in the male patient

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

Most of my male chest contouring patients with gyneomastia are happy they only need one surgery to achieve a flat chest. Unhappy patients that I see from other plastic surgeons are usually because liposuction only was done without subcutaneous mastectomy.
Subcutaneous mastectomy is essential to achieve a good result if there is glandular tissue, tender breast tissue, reaction of the breast tissue to temperature and a puffy areolar/nipple problem.
I always perform subcutaneous mastectomy with liposuction to achieve the best results. Subcutaneous mastectomy is cutting below the nipple to remove all the glandular tissue. Liposuction allows me to shape and contour the chest. This two procedures combined in one surgery allows me to achieve the best results for my male patients. Go to   for detailed information
