Copying Celebrity Looks
Saturday, March 28th, 2009Patients will often bring in pictures of their favorite actor/actress from magazines and show them to me during the plastic surgery consultation. “Dr. Lo, can I look something like this? I really like this nose.” ” I like these breasts on this movie star, I want my breast augmentation surgery do look like this.”
Most patients are smart and I encourage pictures to be used as a point of discussion. By understanding what a patient wants and their goals, then I can deliver surgically what they are looking for. Using the pictures, I can also tell the patients what is NOT possible and be realistic about what their goals are for their facial, rhinoplasty or breast augmentation surgery. So, the bottom line is that pictures are useful when used correctly and patients are realistic.
