Facelift Update
Thursday, May 1st, 2008The most important concept in face/necklift surgery is a natural unoperated look. We want maximum correction of the jowls, smoothing of the nasolabial folds and a restoration of the jawline and smoothing of the neck skin and correction of the hanging neck skin or “turkey gobbler” look. We do this by redraping the skin and removing the loose skin , filling in creases where necessary, lifting deeper tissues and putting the neck muscles together. A facelift procedure may be done by itself but is often combined with other procedures such as upper and lower eyelid surgery. A facelift/necklift surgery will last 10 years or more, on average. See for more information.
